This Privacy Policy explains how UWAAN, Inc., a California corporation operating under the UWAAN brand (“UWAAN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles personal information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, purchase a Founding Member pre-sale package, receive service or launch communications, or otherwise interact with the services described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you join the waitlist, we may collect information you provide, including your first name, email address, user type (such as homebuyer, investor, agent/broker, or property owner), and market or geographic interest. Our website and service providers may also process basic technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, and security or diagnostic logs.
Purchase and Customer Records
When you purchase a pre-sale package, we collect or receive information needed to process and administer your order. Depending on the checkout fields and payment method, this may include your name, email address, business name, billing address, selected package, amount and currency, payment status, transaction identifiers, and the agreement version and acceptance records associated with your purchase.
Our payment provider may make limited payment-method information available to us, such as card brand and last four digits. Full payment credentials are handled by the payment provider. UWAAN does not collect or store your full card number or card security code through its own website.
We also retain relevant customer communications, delivery updates, activation notices and refund or dispute records.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to operate the waitlist, send requested confirmation and launch/early-access communications, understand interest in UWAAN, maintain security, troubleshoot the service, comply with law, and develop and improve our products.
We use purchase and customer information to process payments, confirm orders, document acceptance of purchase terms, administer access, communicate beta invitations and delivery updates, provide support, process refunds, investigate suspected fraud or misuse, respond to payment disputes, and maintain accounting, tax and other legally required records.
3. Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to help operate UWAAN, including providers of website hosting and deployment, cloud infrastructure, database and backend services, email delivery, analytics, security, and other technical services. These providers may process personal information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual, privacy, and legal requirements.
Website Analytics and Your Choices
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic, approximate visitor geography, pages viewed, and interactions such as product exploration and successful waitlist signups. Google may process device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, browser information, and usage data under its own terms and privacy practices. Analytics is optional: it is not loaded until you select “Accept analytics.” You can decline or change your choice using “Cookie settings” in the website footer. Analytics reports are aggregated and do not identify individual waitlist subscribers. We do not send names or email addresses to Google Analytics.
Stripe Payment Processing
We plan to use Stripe to process Founding Member pre-sale payments once checkout is enabled. Information necessary to complete a transaction will be provided to or collected by Stripe through its payment services.
Stripe may process payment, identity, device and transaction information for payment processing, security, fraud prevention, compliance and related purposes as described in the Stripe privacy policy.
UWAAN may receive information needed to administer the purchase, including transaction references, payment status, customer details and limited payment-method information. Relevant order and customer records may be shared with Stripe when necessary to process refunds, investigate suspected fraud or respond to payment disputes.
4. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices materially change, we will update this Policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.
5. Email Communications
If you join the waitlist, we may email you about UWAAN launch news, early access, and related product updates. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using an unsubscribe mechanism provided in the email or by contacting us. We may still send non-marketing messages when necessary to respond to you or administer a service you requested.
Purchase confirmations, receipts, agreement copies, material delivery updates, activation notices, security notices and refund communications are transactional or service-related messages. Unsubscribing from optional marketing does not prevent messages reasonably necessary to administer your purchase.
6. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating the waitlist, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. We may delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
Purchase records, agreement-acceptance records, receipts and related correspondence may be retained after a service term ends where reasonably necessary for accounting, tax compliance, legal obligations, dispute resolution or enforcement of an agreement. Retention depends on the record type and applicable requirements.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. California Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law and your relationship with UWAAN, California residents may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, and to receive information about how it is used or disclosed. Where applicable, you may also have rights concerning sale or sharing of personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

9. Children
UWAAN is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the waitlist.

We may update this Privacy Policy as UWAAN develops. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date when appropriate.
